The 2018 earthquake had triggered a tsunami, which led to soil liquefaction in Petabo, Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was captured in a time-lapse video uploaded on YouTube by a channel called ‘DAHB00777’ in 2018.

The video was also shared by the head of BNPB, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the national agency for disaster counter measure in Indonesia. But the latest earthquake on November 21, 2022 left behind a heavy death toll in West Java province with an epicentre of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake near the Cianjur town, about 75 km from the capital, Jakarta.
