We started our investigation by running a reverse image on Google, whose results led us to a tweet by an author named Wahajat Ali on 1 July 2022.
The caption of the image states, “This lady has been holding this sign in the middle of the intersection, stone cold, not a word uttered.
I still think the country is underestimating the anger of women and Gen Z. They won’t take this sitting down. They won’t go back.”
In this image, we can see the girl holding the placard mentioning, “Democrats and Independents must unite to vote out Republicans. Vote blue this November. Paid by concerned citizens.”
This clearly indicates that the image is digitally altered and is being shared with a false image.
